I have had a lump on my lower jaw bone (at the site where it was fractured during bimax) for the past couple of weeks.
I spoke to my orthodontist about it,and she didnt seem to worried - i havent seen my surgeon since my hospital stay.
Im wondering now that this might be connected to being hit in my jaw at the same spot just a couple of weeks after surgery,with a basketball
. Again,i told my ortho about this back then,and had an x-ray but nobody seemed botherd.But now this lump is getting bigger and the pain seems to be radiating towards my throat. I have phoned the hospital who have given me the number of my surgeons secretary and to contact them monday.
Has anyone any experience of this happening.Does anyone know what this lump may be and how serious it can be?.Im really worried that i may have left it to late in chasing my surgeon for him to do anything about it?? And if anything can be done,what can be done? Not more surgery,please?!
