5 months after BSSO- THEY ARE OFF!

Title says it all!!!
I am absolutely thrilled. I had no idea my teeth would be this straight and feel so good.
It was soooo worth it.

My retainers are hawleys, top and bottom. Teeth are sore today but Im still smilin. Im in the retainers 24/7 for at least 3 months, maybe 6.

I took this with my camera phone yesterday leaving the office

congratulations hun ! i hope im as happy after my bsso :-)

whats hawleys is it like a plastic invisalign tray ? I think i was told i'd have a piece of metal cemented to the back of my teeth ?

Hawleys are the "good ole fashion retainer", I had an open bite and my ortho was afraid the plastic retainers, the ones like a mouthpiece, wouldn't hold as well. My open bite was huge and so he felt like the hawleys would be stronger in my case. They are not bonded. I can take them out to eat and brush.
