What oral problems need surgery??

I dont remember my ortho saying anything about me needing oral surgery but it makes me nervous reading a lot of these posts! lol. I have an overbite that he said was minor....how bad does an overbite have to be to need surgery? if any at all

Only the doctors can tell whether one needs surgery. I had a really bad overbite where my top teeth covered 95% of my lower teeth. The ortho was able to fix it just with braces though.
