questions about after extraction treatment

#1 Post by liwang02138 »

Hi, everyone. I have a few questions about treatment after extraction of 4 teeth and will greatly appreciate it if someone can help me with them!

1. after the extraction are they going to band another tooth since I have only one tooth banded then?

2. what color of power chain is the least noticeable?
3. will the teeth move much faster after the extraction?

thanks!!

I had two upper premolars extracted a few weeks ago. Piece of cake.

No new bands afterward. My wire just goes from bracket to bracket crossing the gap.

I have clear powerchain because I have Clarity ceramic brackets. Personally, I don't think the clear powerchain stains as easily as the ligs do.

I can't really say that my teeth are moving any faster since the extractions. I think it's a long, sloooow process. One thing I do know - when the ortho replaced my upper wire after 2-1/2 weeks without it and gave me powerchain and wire tires, my teeth were really sore for a couple of days. It got better, though.

Good luck!

Chris
