Do bottom teeth take longer to shift?

Do bottom teeth take longer to shift?
I’ve now had my braces for >2 months and I’ve noticed movement in the top jaw, especially with the teeth that were already mobile due to the Carriere (thankfully as the canine movement was interfering with chewing). I haven’t really noticed much movement with my lower jaw yet. Is this normal? I also haven’t had as much discomfort from the lower jaw wire which is interesting.

I am not really sure why (not a dentist) but I suspect it depends on the forces/devices that the ortho deploys and your underlying condition. In my case, it seemed as though the teeth on the lower jaw moved more slowly, but in reality I had a large gap to fill for a missing premolar. There is a general dentist who checks in here from time to time, but absent that, your ortho would be the best source of information (as I am sure you know.) I did a quick search on the topic but did not find anything particularly helpful. Best of luck to you!
