I am a new member (*just joined today 9-14-23) and do not have braces yet. I wore traditional metal braces in my younger years but was not faithful with my retainer. Fast forward to now (*I’m in my 50s) and I have decided to get braces again. Don’t want Invisalign and am researching the Damon Clear system for cosmetic reasons. Does anyone know if Damon offers a tooth-colored archwire? I prefer that over the silver metal and have searched extensively online, but could not find any info on the Damon archwire options. Would appreciate any info on this. Thx in advance!

You probably saw my response to your post on another thread. In a nutshell, I have not heard of nor seen any evidence of tooth-colored arch wires, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. I am guessing that the coating might interfere with movement or change the effective diameter of the wire which might complicate things. As an aside, I had the tooth-colored Damon brackets, but frankly they really did not blend into the color of my teeth, like you might see in promotional material from the manufacturer. However those clear brackets look much better, at least in their pictures. The arch wires aren't that noticeable in and of themselves. Best of luck to you!
