Anything stronger than powerchains for gaps?

#1 Post by bigopenbite »

I have recently had some small gaps appear between a few teeth, double powerchains seem to help a little, but not enough. Has anyone had something else like springs used for this purpose?

My ortho tried coil springs briefly, as I recall, to close a stubborn space. He ended up giving me a couple of Propel treatments in an attempt to stimulate remodelling and tooth movement. Here is an interesting overview of coil springs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMjQFsAYKtw

Best of luck to you!

Hi bigopenbite, my ortho is currently using ligature wire laced around the brackets to close stubborn spaces. Seems to be working slowly!
