Lip piercings and braces?

#1 Post by vampirefangs22 »

Does anyone else here have/want a lip piercing despite having braces on their teeth? I know I certainly do, snakebites to be exact. If so, how might the piercing(s) affect orthodontic treatment? I'm planning on getting it done in September and yes, I'm fully prepared to deal with my orthodontist nagging about the supposed "dangers" of having oral piercings (especially with braces) even though I plan on wearing short bioflex labret studs in them.

I wouldn't advise it. You're asking for trouble. If you want to get a lip or tongue piercing, wait until your braces are off.
