reverse pull headgear for snoring treatment

#1 Post by Maddi188 »

I read online about reverse pull headgear for snoring treatment used w/ palate expander. I used a reverse pull headgear attached to a cheap retainer bought online and Ive been waking up feeling 20 times better, not tired at all slept great when using it. I have an appointment next month as Im not sure if its good for my teeth to do this long term, I am a healthy young adult, normal weight, no medical history, non smokerfo. Wondering if anyone has any info thank you

I don't know about using reverse pull headgear for snoring but the concept for oral appliances for snoring or sleep apnea is to pull the mandible forward. There are a several oral appliances specifically for this. One of the better is a TAP appliance. I just took a continuing dental education course on sleep dentistry last week. I would recommend consulting with your dentist for a sleep appliance if you want to pursue this.
