Extractions

#1 Post by Nabba786r »

Hi I have had Damon braces with elastics as I wasn’t happy with my over jet I did ask my orthodontist if I will need any extractions he did say he will try his best without them to achieve a wide and aesthetic smile. However most people that have had over jet have had extractions that I see online I was wondering is it better to have extractions or better without as comments say it’s better without but most people have them so I’m confused.

I think every case is different, and that you can't rely on comments found on the internet for guidance. If you trust your orthodontist, I think you should follow his/her recommendations, along with the rationale. Or, you may need to settle for a less-than-ideal result. Best of luck to you.
