Extractions

#1 Post by Nabba786r »

Hi I have Damon braces on with elastics for class 2 my orthodontist said they will not need to extract any teeth. However I have seen videos where a lot of people get extractions for over jet. Any advice on this please?

Each case is individual, as you know, and I would trust the recommendation of your ortho. Discuss your concern with him/her, so they can clearly explain the rationale behind their thinking. Most people have just the opposite concern - the ortho recommends extractions, and the patient is hesitant. I needed an extraction, which my ortho clearly explained (and frankly, it really was not a surprise). Best of luck to you.
