1st Post - MARPE at 35?

#1 Post by noctilucentnikki »

Hello hello-
I have never had any orthodontic treatment, but a 20 year history of TMD, and all of the glorious issues that come with it.
I have a V shaped narrow and high mouth/palate, am in between phase 1 and 2 of "neuromuscular dentistry" treatment and am researching orthodontic treatments. I have been going to consultations in the last few weeks and it seems MARPE and then braces is the winning treatment. Although not surgery, I'm still very nervous.

If you've had any experience with a MSE or MARPE (as an adult) please comment!
Thank you :3
Nikki
