Double Jaw Surgery during Uni?

I'm on a scholarship at uni which requires me to be full time for a year. My surgery looks to be directly in the first semester. I was thinking of doing 3 units which are predominately online and don't require attendance in order to stay fulltime. Obviously I don't want to drop out of the units mid way and have it show up on my academic transcript so I was wondering whether anyone has had surgery during uni and was it doable?
Thanks

Pretty much all of our university students will opt for surgery right after their exams before summer break. Expect 2-4 weeks of not really wanting to do much after the surgery. If you feel you can be "out of commission" for that amount of time during the semester, you can consider it. Good luck!

I am a graduate student who had double jaw surgery. I had mine done over summer break. I had wanted to do it durring the school year durring spring break, but timming led to my teeth not being ready until summer. After having gone through the surgery, there is no way I would have been able to keep up in school after the surgery. You are going to be in pain and focused on recovery for 1 to 2 months after surgery. Not a good idea to be in recovery while trying to l be sucessful in your studies.
