Retainers Causing Sore Throat

#1 Post by Letslivelife »

Okay so I don’t know if this is a coincidence but ever since iv had my retainers (plastic Invisalign ones) goin on three months, I have developed what started out as a really bad throat ache on only the right side of my throat but then decreased to a small off and on ache that I feel every day. It’s not so much that it hurts just an annoying tingle I feel in the corner of my throat. Haden anyone else ever had this? Promise to reply once I have a cure

Please search this message board and you will see a long thread about this. You need to tell your orthodontist or dentist. Align Technologies, the makers of Invisalign, know about this and apparently offer a "hypoallergenic version" of the product.
I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!
