What x-rays are needed?

What x-rays are needed?

Besides a panoramic, are there any other x-rays that are generally required before getting braces? (No overbite/underbite/jaw development issues.)

I had a 3D scan but even with that my ortho wouldn't give me a quote until I had a panoramic x-ray. But just one x-ray :)

My ortho took an xray of the side of my head in addition to the panoramic one. I think it's called the cephalometric xray.
