Enamel ruined from braces removal?

I got my braces off about a week ago. When getting them off, everything looked great. However, now it appears that whatever type of drill they used to remove the glue has damaged my enamel. It is only noticeable when my teeth are dry and under direct light. There is leftover glue on one tooth, but on the rest there is not, because when I use a scaler, no black mark shows up except on that one tooth. Is it normal for this to happen after braces? I'm pretty upset about it. :( Here is the link to the picture. http://tinypic.com/r/2vtqeqh/9

I see what you mean. When I got mine off, they left a horizontal line on my left central incisor. I don't think yours is really noticeable, but I can definitely see what you mean. Almost as if they drilled too far after they got rid of the glue. Are you experiencing any sensetivity? By the way I also have leftover glue but only on my rear mollars.

No sensitivity except when they were removing the glue. I moved 10 hours away from my orthodontist's town a day after I got my braces off so it's not like I can go back there without it being a major inconvenience. I'm will go see a new orthodontist if this problem can be fixed, but if it's normal, I guess it's just a con of having braces.

I wouldn't say it's normal. I don't want to say they ruined your enamel, but it looks like they did a little sloppy job. I've had appointments twice a year with my orthodontist since I got my braces off, so I think it would be wise to get a second opinion from a different ortho. By the way, you have beautiful teeth.

Go to a general dentist and see what they say? They can help repair the tooth.

Are you sure th glue is perhaps still not on?

You should contact your ortho anyway! You spent time and money.

My teeth looked a lot like that when I finished invisalign. My dentist was able to take off some of the extra glue.

I scheduled an appointment to see a different Orthodontist that's closer to my home for next Monday. I will post her response.

I can understand you need to see an ortho ongoing but a general dentist will be better suited to help you

Thank you for the response. I will bring it up at my next cleaning appointment, depending on what the response from the orthodontist I'm going to see on Monday is.

what type of braces did you have if you don't mind me asking. Ceramic or metal?

They were the traditional metal braces.

She fixed them and they look so much better! I couldn't be happier. I guess my orthodontist was in a hurry or something. I didn't think I would notice the difference but I do and they look 10x better.

What did they do to fix them? I've been two dentist and one buffed my front teeth down just a bit with what looked like sand paper :( another said he could fix it but then looked and so he can't. One of my front teeth is always sensitive :( I had them taken off a month ago and the ortho tried to say they were they before. I was able to get the before photos and they weren't. Makes me sad this happened to my teeth :(
