So i did not like the results of my teeth after 6 month smiles and will not wear retainers in order for teeth to return to original position.
My question is i had IPR done on lower teeths where they create gaps in teeth to align teeth.
so im asuming if my teeth were to relapse would i get big gaps in my teeth...?
I was thinking if i did get gaps to close them with dental bonding? Anyone closed gaps with bonding?
Intended relapse but had ipr done

Past IPR will not show evidence of gaps later. It is done to such a small degree, it does not change the integrity of the teeth to where gaps will get created. I think you have this falsehood that the teeth magically go back to exactly where they were before. Any changes the IPR created, newly shifting teeth will respond accordingly. It's not like they have some memory to go back exactly as they were before. Retainers or not, orthodontics generally create some permanent changes. I don't know where people got the idea that it can be all undone. I would advise against ceasing to wear retainers in the hopes of everything going back to where it was.

Hi Second,
You do not say what he problem is with your "results". 6 month smiles is just a quick fix to your front teeth and usually done by a general dentist rather than a qualified orthodontist.
I agree that not using your retainer is unlikely to result in a good outcome. I suggest you consult a qualified orthodontist for some expert advice, both as to what treatment you now require to give you good results and as to whether your dentist has been negligent in your 6 months smiles treatment- in which case you might seek a refund.
best of luck,
Jem
