Can you teeth chip when you have your brackets taken off?

Can you teeth chip when you have your brackets taken off?

My daughter had her braces off a few years back, and some of her tooth enamel chipped off as they were removing a bracket. Is this common? :shock: And is it true that ceramic braces are harder to remove than metal?

Are you sure it's enamel that's been taken of and not decalcification? What did normal dentist say? Ortho?
