3-4 months between appointments?

3-4 months between appointments?
I'm currently thinking of getting invisalign, but I'm in a dilemma. I have ten months before I graduate high school, so I can receive treatment until then. However, I am going to another country during the summer for 10 weeks. After that, I will be going off to college, and will only return home maybe once every 3-4 months. My treatment time is estimated at 12-18 months. Is it okay to have that long of a wait between appointments? The reason I considering Invisalign now, and not when I get to college, is because my current location is very populated and competitive, so the cost of orthodontic treatment is a lot lower than in rural areas (where I may possibly go to college). Thank you for your advice.

Generally speaking appointments may be up to 3 months apart with self ligating braces, so i think 4 months is a stretch for anything and you probably need to go in more frequently so they know how to make your next Invisalign trays.
Sounds like you should wait until you are settled in one area, difference in cost might be quite a bit less than you expect and it would be much more convenient.

Lots of crimes here

4. Upper midline left of center
5. Lower midline right of center
6. Upper and lower teeth not straight
Sentence - 24 months, turned to 27 month.

Re: 3-4 months between appointments?
Depending on the stage of treatment and the type of treatment, as well as your cooperation with treatment, this should be ok. We have several of our patients who go overseas for college an come back only for major holidays. We time the aligner schedule for their next visit and are just an email away to answer any questions. The caution is not wearing aligners properly, having things go off track, etc, but assuming your doctor has planned the treatment properly so that the simulation mirrors how your teeth should move, and you are wearing the aligners properly, this should not be a problem. Speak to the office you are considering and see what they think!
