Unwanted intrusion
Seven months into my Damon treatment. I am having significant intrusion of my second bicuspid on the top left. I am sure it happened gradually but it seems sudden. Where there was once an average sized tooth, now the exposed outer surface is only as large as my tiny Damon clear bracket, so it appears to have intruded into my gum about 40%. The first bicuspid next to it seems to be extruded. I know there's been a lot of movement and I'm going in for a rebracket in a week, but I'm scared! The "up down" positiowning of my teeth was not an issue and now it is! I just want to be sure I will be able to get this fixed and that it isn't a sign of root resorption or God forbid something that I would need surgery to correct. When I called the office, all I got was that it is unusual and come in sooner. Any advice is appreciated!!

Curious, what was the outcome from your last appointment? Having the same issue with one tooth suddenly shorter, and I'm freaking out! Wondering what is done to bring it back down. My appointment isn't until next week and I can't wait to find out!

If it makes you feel any better I have a tooth that is suddenly longer and now it hits wrong everytime I bite down.
