3 months progress pic - diastema? What diastema?

#1 Post by parsleysage »

I've had soooo much movement in my diastema lately. For a few weeks it was stalled out at the stage you see in the 2nd pic but the last week it got a lot smaller and after my adjustment yesterday and getting a new wire tie, it's almost all the way gone! In pictures it does look all the way gone! I'm thrilled with my progress and wanted to share!

Yay! Your teeth are looking so AMAZING! They look like a completely different persons smile. :) I read on your story thread that they're going to try to fix your teeth without surgery, so fingers crossed for you! :) you've made SO much progress already!

Is it weird that I really liked the way your gap looked in the second photo? Either way, that's such great progress! Congrats.

No, not weird, I was a huge fan of my diastema too! It took me a few weeks pre-braces to get used to the idea that it would be gone. Then, after braces, it was the first thing the ortho started moving, so I was like, welp, I guess it's the first to go! :| lol!

Congrats!! I also started out with a pretty large (5mm) diastema. Didn't hate it but was happy to see it go.

Can't wait to see you all finished!
