I think the people who do colors on top or do alternating colors are brave. Much braver than I!
Totally agree! Though I wouldn't mind light colors on the top, just not bright ones.

Well, silver was boring, and dark, so this last time I went in I got light blue, and I love it! The light blue makes my smile seen brighter, and cleaner. Also, the light blue is supposed to stain less than the white or iridescent options, and I drink a lot of coffee. I'm considering maybe light pink with my next adjustment, but I don't know. In a way it almost makes it seem like the time will pass faster if I change the color every month, because then it feels like it's broken up into more manageable segments.
I ended up getting silver on Tuesday, and boy do I agree that the silver is actually pretty dark. I feel like it is especially dark with my bottom teeth since they're really crowded. lol. It's a lot more noticeable than I thought it would be, though I'm starting to get used to how it looks. It's good to know that light blue actually looks good. I'm pretty sure that's my next color choice. I feel like having a color would help to break up the metal look. I definitely agree that changing colors every time could make the time seem like it's going by faster.
I've been loving my light blue ligs. I'm not a huge fan of colorful/bright ones, but the clear ones stain too quickly since I'm a coffee drinker. The light blue is subtle and makes my smile look brighter/whiter. I had an adjustment today, and the assistant offered to put all steel ligs on top, which I would have loved. They're less noticeable than regular ligatures, but in my experience (or at least at this stage in my treatment - still early, teeth are sore), they hurt so badly when they're put on. Last time, I had them on two teeth that needed to be rotated; the pressure from twisting to close them nearly had me in tears. lol Perhaps I'll give all steel ligs a try in future when my teeth aren't so sore.
