When did you start wearing elasticits?

I was told this week (second adjustment - 10 weeks) that I'll most likely be getting them at my next adjustment in 5 weeks time.
So just under 4 months in.

Slightly dreading it to be honest. But my ortho says I'll only have to wear them at night, as he doesn't get good compliance from adults when he asks them to wear them during the day so he just doesn't ask any more! I'd rather have them for longer and only at night, so that's fine by me.

But still, my money's on it hurting

I jus started wear mine Friday gone (17.01.14) as my last adjustment.
I am what a year and a half into my estimated treatment time...
So...yeah.....hopefully we finish this on time as in (June 2014)...

I started elastics last week and had an adjustment as well. The only "pain" was like any other adjustments, just some pressure for the first two days and it's back to normal.

Yeah I had mine with an adjustment as well. It's weird and annoying but I'm over the painful part

I have a v configuration.

It's hard to talk with it. Cuz the d tension keeps my mouth closed so I have to make an effort to enunciate everything else I sound retarded! Sighs. But after a while d tension decreases and I can talk fairly normal.

I started elastics on the day I got my braces put on and will probably have them and possibly other added as treatment goes on. Treating an 3mm anterior open bite and a cross bite on my right side to reduce excessive wear on my molars.

I started about 2 months into treatment; I foolishly thought I might be able to avoid them. But they do make a difference when worn as directed.
