I never thought about to have braces two years ago, although i have crowed and not straight teeth. However, serious infection happened at my two upper lateral teeth roots, which could not be saved, drove me to make this decision that is the most economical and best one-i can get ride of two bad teeth, and at the same time i can have straight teeth. Implant is not only very expensive but also have to take care of and easy to have infection.
My orthodontics put the brackets on my teeth this morning. Tomorrow, i am going to get my 5 teeth extracted including a wisdom teeth. then put the wire on in the afternoon. Oh my, my poor mouth will look like a mess tomorrow.
Here is what my teeth look like.

I thought one was bad enough. Mine is starting to hurt a bit and im hoping i'm not about to experience a dry socket?
yeah, quite unpleasant. i forced myself to swallow all the bloody spit after i found out spitting may cause dry sockets. i ate a little liquid food with my head raised so that the food can touch the wounds least.

Welcome to the journey to a new smile. Braces and wires in one day, you are very brave. Stick to that soft diet until the pain and numbness subsides, follow your doctors orders and you start seeing improvements in a few months..
