Palate expander pain

#1 Post by Beckley816 »

So I'm finally used to my palate expander yay! No more sores and swollen mouth thank god! However, due to missing teeth and a bone graft, one side of my mouth is moving much faster than the other. I'm experiencing pain in my tooth I'm going to show you and I'm concerned as I'm
Supposed to turn it about 3 more times. I would say I've been having the pain side a few days ago. I'm considering calling my ortho in the morning. I'm also concerned about how far the tooth is tipping.. Can this do any damage to my root? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated! Before and after pics----

I'm really sorry I don't know why my pics are showing upside down! I take them normal and when they are uploaded on photobucket they show normal too until I post them here. Can anyone help
On that either? lol thanks

You should definately call your ortho, or better go to an extra visit.
I'm debraced after 2 rears and 1 weak of treatment.

The way your premolar has moved out of your arch at an angle does not look right. I think you should try to see your ortho as soon as possible. And in the meantime it might be worth turning the expander back inwards to give your premolar chance to move back into line.

Good luck!
