And yes its a bitter sweet moment getting them off...

Cuz u think oh i can be normal and eat in public without worrying too much about food getting stuck in ur braces....

And then comes retainers.....Same worrying about having to brush/rinse mouth after every meal...
And coming to think of it...I did that for almost 2 years so its kinda a habit now...after meals i jus have to rinse/ brush my teeth....so i dont even consciously think about having to do it anymore...I jus do...

My ortho didnt mention how long i'd have to wear mine full time yet.....But i just assumed it was 1 year! Well hopefully its less than that but we'll c....

I think the full time retainer regime depends on your issues and your Orthodontist. I wore my Essix's 24/7 for the first month, then was told to just wear them at night. I've done that the last 5 months.

Braces as Phase II treatment for TMJD.
Lower mandibular repositioning splint 26 months.
Lower braces on 10.75 months into Phase II treatment.
Duration in braces: 2 years, 2 weeks, 5 days
Removal of Braces: September 18, 2013
TMJD treatment now complete!

i have hawleys top and bottom....so...yeah had to go through the whole lisp thing urgh....

But my net post apt is tomorrow (Fri) so i'll hear the news then...

I've been in retainers for about a month now....

can you post before and after FACE photos?

What can change negatively is the face. Straight teeth are no surprise.
