Brace removal next month

Monday 22nd. Hooray!!!!

Sectional brace with Damon clear brackets fitted to front 6 upper teeth 3 January 2012
Brackets added to premolars 2 April 2012
Estimated treatment time originally 6-9 months. Brace removed on 22 July 2013 after 18 months and 19 days
Now enjoying bonded upper retainer plus part time essix/hawley( I have both)

Wow, that is great news, Jem! I am already looking forward to seeing a picture of your beautiful teeth without braces!

It seems like no time since I was expressing similar sentiments. You will be there in no time. I have found the whole process much easier than I expected, notwithstanding that I have gone well over my estimated time. Good luck with your journeys!

Real Debrace Date 18th June 2013

4 extractions, upper ceramic brackets and lower metal to fix overjet and overcrowding.

Hi Kip,

I can't imagine for a minute that I will miss my brace (braces?)

But my ditty is about imaginary treatment rather than mine, so I will have to imagine missing braces too.

On second thoughts, I guess it will feel odd at first not having the brace, but I don't think that would be the same as missing it.

I can imagine it feeling really weird when come off, almost too smooth like your lips and sliding off your teeth.

I'm looking forward to my mouth just feeling clean.

I'm looking forward to being able to eat anything I want, crunchy, nutty, sticky...bring it ON! Do they make caramel popcorn nut lollipops?

That's great! I just got mine on yesterday and I already want them off. I suppose it'll take me a while to get used to them.
