Problems with Deep Bite Relapses?

#1 Post by Wireless »

I've had problems with my lower teeth irritating gums behind my uppers. My doc noted when I started treatment with Invisalign that my condition would be difficult to treat and nearly impossible to hold afterwards. The problem is the shape of my lower jaw, which wasn't addressed when I was pre-teen. With treatment, I had about a 3 mm improvement in my deep bite, which stopped the irritation problem. However, after about a year of retainers at night, the problem came back. My doc changed my lower retainer so my rear teeth would grow out again, which worked. Now I'm back to night only again.

I'm concerned that I may have problems with relapse again. Has anyone else had this type of problem and if you had any way to keep things in line.
