arch wire keeps coming out my molar bands

does this happen to anyone else? my wires keep coming out of my molar bands. both lower ones came out within 4 weeks, then my upper left came out. i went and had wire changed and nowmy upper left is out after eating some salad, and then last week my lower rightcame out after a rather painful experience with a hula hoop. also, should i call my ortho as soon as this happens? my nxt adjustment is in 3 weeks, should i just wait til then?

This happened to me last week and I after a bit of frustrating fiddling I managed to slide the wire back in place using tweezers.

The first couple sets of wires are thin and springy and like to come out of the band tubes. Just be patient with them and try the tweezer trick if you are up for it. The later wires will stay in much better.

Funny I should come across this thread because my wire came out of my lower molar band today (been in braces nearly 2 years and this has never happened before). I pushed it back in. If my lower molar bands were the same as my uppers then I wouldn't have been able to as the archwire slots into a tube on the upper molar bands, but my lower molar bands have like a lip where the archwire is pushed down and in towards the teeth then it flicks under the lip... that probably doesn't even make sense! I never even realised this until earlier today and now cannot work out how the molar band is engaging with the archwire and keeping the molars in place

I had this problem a lot when I was wearing my first wire. It was so thing and flexible that it popped out pretty much every time i tried to chew anything remotely solid. My hubbs got really good at getting it back in with a hemostat. Had no problems once that wire got changed out.
