What Did I Do?

After months of dental work I was referred to see an orthodontist for jaw clicking and a popping sound. I have very little pain but my dentist feels that is would be worth my time to get it checked out.

Today I made an appointment, seems strange for something so minor. What should I expect at my first visit?

I have been reading about TMJ and the use of splints followed by braces. Has anyone gone this route?

This is so unlike me to seek out more dental work after I have been through so much already.
