Ok, so I knew braces would hurt in the beginning. I knew they would hurt after adjustments. but I did not expect it to hurt constantly. Two tylenol and 4 advil twice a day to take the edge off. I've mentioned the pain to my orthodontists, and they say that I am the odd ball - they've never had anyone with these problems.
Most days it hurt to put pressure on my teeth with toothbrush and brush them. I have been unable to bite ANY food - even soft bread. Chewing is also equally difficult/impossible some days. I cut food in bites for me as small as the bites for my 1 year old.
Any suggestions? could I just be sensitive to the pain (more so than most people)? Am I an odd ball? My dentist says he does not think this is normal....

If it's causing you that much pain and problems eating then perhaps you should stop. Your health is the most important thing.

I had Inman Aligners on both my top and bottom teeth.

Sorry to hear of your continual troubles...must be very miserable.
I can't imagine the aching I've had in the last two days being continual...would be very demoralizing.
Did your ortho tell you what size wire he's using on you? I just got my first wire a few days ago and my ortho told me they always start with the 0.014 wire with new patients and typically maintain it for 3-4 months to allow patients to adapt before putting a stronger wire in. Maybe request the thinner wire (if it's not being used already) to see if that helps.
