My daughter has been sick for over a month. Diarrhea, severe abdominal pain that comes and goes & fatigue. She’s been tested for everything imaginable. She’s had a endoscopy, cat scan, bloodwork, urine and stool samples and HIDA scan for gallbladder function- all normal. She’s not the same kid. She got too braces end of January and her bottom three weeks later. Then two weeks after she started with all the symptoms. I can’t think of anything else that has changed. Any help is appreciated.

As you can see from some of the responses above (#15 I think relates a similar story) it is possible. I'd recommend that you have your physician have serum nickel levels drawn, and perhaps a general toxicology screen from a specialist. And of course, it might be worthwhile to have her evaluated by a mental health specialist (psychologist, social worker, etc.) to make sure that she is not experiencing increased levels of stress from the braces, or from some other factors that may have coincided with the braces. I'm sorry to hear of this, as a father myself this sort of thing would be very worrisome and I wish you and your daughter the best of luck in getting this resolved.

My son started with removavbe braces 6 months ago, and 3 moths ago I noticed he is shedding his hair.

I have been thinking of everything and the only changes have been:
a new Spam console,
the jack port for the headphones in his cell phone got damage and he started listening music streaming from apple and in order to hear, he would keep his phone near his temple for long time. (when I figured tthis out, almost had a heart attack.. I am obsessed with the side effects of cell phone use),
The removable braces.
He is 13 years old and everyday in his pillow I see aprox 30 hairs, in the lavatory after he has brush his hair the same, etc
I am very worried

Have you brought this up with his orthodontist? Perhaps you could discuss stopping the treatment or exploring another approach where another appliance without metal can be used and see if the situation improves, if it doesn't, then move on from there to eliminate the other things in the list that you suspect may have contributed to the hair loss problem. In the meantime, please also take your son to the doctor and see what the doctor says.
