THURSDAY IS MY BIG DAY!

Well its been over 22 months and I'm finally getting these suckers off on Thursday at high noon. I can't wait! I had molds done at my last appointment for permanent retainers on top and bottom. Once they are placed, my ortho is going to get a second set of molds for essix retainers as well. Has any one ever heard of or had both retainers at the same time??? She felt it was necessary to maintain my new smile. I will post some pics after they're off. I also have a voucher lined up for Zoom whitening. I'm going to ask my ortho about the time line of getting it done though. It seems there are conflicting opinions on how soon to get it done after being debraced. Wish me luck!

Yay I'm so excited for you! I was debraced on friday and barely slept on thursday night I was so excited!

The good news is it really didn't hurt at all, the drill that gets the glue off was a bit sucky but thats only because I hate the sound of it.

Let us know what your ortho says about whitening, I want to get mine done but i'm not sure how long to wait either!

My ortho told me last week that I'll be getting bonded retainers on the upper 4 and bottom 6, plus essix for the top. It seems that my teeth really have a propensity for relapse which has extended my treatment time. I was supposed to be in the Feb Club, but now it looks like sometime in April...what's another 8 weeks after 2 years, 2 months and 3 weeks!!??

Good luck with the debanding...you make me sick. Just kidding! No, really.
