X-ties

#1 Post by sadpanda »

Does anyone know what X-ties do? I realize that they are the colored lig ring twisted a special way on each bracket, but I don't know their purpose. I just had an adjustment and the ortho put X-ties on all of my bottom teeth. They look a little odd, but I think that's because I opted to get colors for the first time, alternating dark and light blue. So, if anyone knows, that'd be great. :D
