Just My Luck

#1 Post by bouncintigger96 »

I had a problem with my top tooth hitting my bottom tooth so the assistant put a bumper on the bottom tooth.I woke this am and my top tooth has a nice chunk out of it!!!!!It's ALWAYS something! Luckily I'll be going to my reg dentist tomorrow am. I guess these little brackets are pretty strong, :(
I guess I've always grinded my teeth since I've been a kid.Hubby tells me I do now.
And I noticed that since I've been braced, I tend to line my top and bottom teeth together and put pressure on them.Feels better esp when they were hurting. What is this called, anyone know???? I think this is how my tooth got cracked off.

Grinding, clenching, bruxism?

I grind my teeth at night and throughout the day too! It's become a habit that I find difficult to stop...

Hi,yeah I have bruxism.I broke my tooth off in the front, the dentist pulled a temp filling there for me.Hopefully it won't happen again. I go to the ortho Monday to ask him some questions about it,and the same tooth feels wobbly. My dentist said he may have to slow the movement down.
She mentioned something about the root movement.
