what's the cost of your braces?

#1 Post by felicia »

I noticed that us, here in United States, rarely say how much we pay for the braces. Mostly is the people in England and Australia who are more open to talk about the costs.
I am in Phoenix, Arizona, my braces cost 6,440$, self ligating ceramic on top and self ligating metal on bottom, and my estimated time in braces is 2 years +/- 6 months.
So, I have 4 questions for anybody who wants to answer:
1. Where are you located? (city, state)
2. How much are you paying for your braces?
3. What kind of braces do you have? (ceramic, metal)
4. What is your estimated time in braces?

1. Where are you located? Holloman AFB, NM
2. How much are you paying for your braces? $4000
3. What kind of braces do you have? Metal all the way.
4. What is your estimated time in braces? 18-24 months
While the cost of my braces is cheaper because of the smaller town, I'll be paying a lot more later for the implants to replace my Laterals. So it'll all even out in the end.

I'm sure like most of you my retainers are included. Also if I end up going over the 18 months I'll have to pay a $40 fee at each adjustment. Hoping that doesn't have to happen.

-I'm in Edmonton, Alberta Canada
-If I remember correctly, my braces cost between $5500-$6000 plus the upper jaw surgery was another $3000 and then retainers will be another $400
-I have clear ceramics on the upper 6 front teeth and damons on all other teeth
-I was told 30 months in braces and I get them off in 2 weeks. It will have been 31 months
