Yay! Progress!

#1 Post by acidcookie »

I went in for an adjustment yesterday and asked the Ortho "what's next?" She told me that on my next visit, they'll take x-rays to see where the roots are. If my teeth seem like they've moved where they want them, I'll be at the half way point (it'll be a year then), and they'll change out my wires as well. My bottom teeth have a wire that's been pulling my arch in. After that, I guess it'll be a more "normal" wire.

In the last year, my front teeth spaces (including a large gap) have closed. All my bottom front teeth have closed their spaces and my class III bite which was 3mm is now a 2 mm overjet, all with rubber bands and the wire. It's nice to know that I've come so far and only have a year left!

(Still hoping to get time off for good behavior).

Wow that's really exciting. I can't wait till I have a year. I just reached my 1 month mark and I've seen movement. I'm hoping they are moving at incredible speed but I wont know till next month when I go in again.
