BLEH! Teeth getting pulled...

Just got back from my fifth adjustment, today. In addition to getting elastics for the first time, my ortho told me I might be getting two teeth pulled. Apparently, my overbite has gotten worse since I got my braces on (something about my jaw muscles relaxing), and now he's apprehensive about whether elastics will work in fixing it. He's going to have me wear these elastics, and after not the next adjustment but the one after that, he's going to decide whether I should get them pulled. Anyone else have a similar experience with this? I'm very anxious about having teeth pulled. :/

Also, will my ortho be the one to pull the teeth? And will this be included in the cost of the braces, or will I have to pay more for it?

Thanks for any insight. c:

You will have to go to the dentist and pay for it. I think my extractions were avout $150 each

Yeah, your dentist willl do it. I'm still miffed that I had to pay for my extractions (2) because it's classed as cosmetic, even though it's really not  I paid £90 (or 70, I can't remember) for both teeth

But anyway don't worry too much about extractions; it's pretty straightforward and pain-free. The worst thing about it is the injections into the gum! (unless of course you has gas, which seems more commonplace in America I think, anyway)

Hm. I think there's something wrong with the ortho telling you that you need to get teeth pulled for your treatment, but you still have to pay for it. Regardless, it seems cheaper than I originally thought it was going to be. I know I'm just being a baby about it because the biggest procedure I've ever had done with my teeth was getting a cavity filled when I was 13.

Thanks, guys.
