Wax.

#1 Post by magster »

I have been braced for almost 4 months - will be 4 months on August 9th. I used to be on this site constantly when I first got my braces - but recently stopped (I guess the more you get used to your braces the less likely you are to complain about them)

but my issue is - wax
the first 2 months or so I barely used it nothing bothered me and now almost every night when I sleep I wake up with indents on my bottom lip :(

is this normal?
Spacers: 8 - 4 top, 4 bottom on 04.04.09
Braced on: 04.09.09
Sentence: 18-24 Months

yes this is normal. i had a spring on the front top and everyother day...having to add wax and this would last for a week at a time and then stop for aawhile. Same with my band ties. when I first got banded used the wax for the first two weeks. 4 months later had to add wax on the right one. I think as the teeth move the positioning affects when it bugs us :)
