teeth cleaning w/ braces..im scared

#1 Post by mssweeteypie »

So my ortho is in the same building as my dentist..so when I get my teeth cleaned they are going to take off my wire and do the cleaning.

I'm SCARED! I've been seeing great results and I'm scared that my teeth will move if they take my wire off that long.

Do they do this where you go? If so, does it hurt to get your wire put back on? Like do your teeth hurt for days?

They may or may not take the wire off. My dentist's office DOES NOT take it off, just merely goes around it. I have cleanings every 3months. They will do special things to help clean them, but it won't really be that big of a deal.

I've had two cleanings with my wires in. My ortho and dentist prefer it that way. I go every 3 months too.

It depends on your dentist's preference. My dentist didn't care if the wire was there or not so I never had it removed.

Plenty of people on here have had theirs removed for cleanings and then put back in.

Don't worry about your teeth moving in that time. Any movement that does occur (not saying it will) will be corrected as soon as the wire is put back in.

This is a "not to worry" situation! :D
