I could use some advice here. I've been using wax on my metal brackets successfully for nearly a year. For the past few days, I've had trouble applying it. Every time I try to put it on, it sticks to my fingers instead of my brackets. I honestly can't see anything different about what I'm doing now compared to what I've done for the past year. I'm using the same packet of wax I used successfully about a week ago. Any ideas what might be going on? I need to use it now, but I just can't get it to stay on - ouch!!!

I've found that when it's hot out my wax misbehaves. When I was in Michigan recently I ran some wax under very cold water from the tap and it stuck great.
