Today I woke up and my nose was killing me! I then went to brush my teeth .. and there was this really really small gap between my teeth but it was definetely a gap
Then I decided to smile in the mirror to see the changes from my 7th turn and my smile was definetely wider which I was happy about .. but then I realised that my nose got wider and I was in absolute shock I'm only on my 7th turn and I have 23 more turns to go .. so does that mean that my nose will get bigger and bigger? Cause from what I see .. I'm not too pleased with what I look like now ..

In my case my cheek bones certainly have become more defined, now at the limit of what I think is "attractive"/what I feel comfortable with. Once in a while I think my nose has gotten wider, but since I've long passed the expansion phase, so I can't really tell. And now it's too late to reconsider anyways.
Don't know if that helps.

Well from my experience from when my son had an expander, his nose really didnt change, but he did gain a gap. The dentist wanted his back molars to bite better, and with expansion he gained a gap. The gap went away on its own because the palate tissue filled in and harden ( if that makes since). Basically, it is normal for the gap to appear during expansion because your palate is expanding, but this will have to happen in order for you to correct your mallocculsion (if I spelled that right)
Yeah well whenever I get a teeeeeny weeeny gap .. it seems to close in the afternoon all by itself
But my nose hurts SO much...it feels like someone just punched me in the face .. pffft.

I remember reading on several sites about expanders that they can affect your profile by widening the nose along with your smile. Also, you should expect to have a gap form between your front teeth. Try googling palatal expanders .
I had surgically assisted rapid palate expansion last year. My nose did get a bit wider. This happens because your maxilla is getting wider and it is attached to your sinuses so they have to expand a bit with the maxilla. I finished out with 9mm of expansion, and my nose was very minimally changed. It won't keep expanding with every turn, but yes, it will probably get a little bit wider.
I'm on my second expander, I haven't noticed anything going on with my nose - my smile is definitely getting wider, but my nose seems unchanged. I would definitely mention it to your ortho!
