How long did you have to use a bite plate/molar buildups/bumpers in your treatment?

It seems that my bite plate career is exactly six months. After that I hope I dont need any molar buildups etc.

I was just wondewring if there are cases who had to use previously mentioned helpers a long time before their teeth were behavinhg.

i should get rid of my bite plate on Tuesday and that would be just about 3 months. I get my lowers on on Tues. so hopefully I won't have to have it anymore. *Crosses fingers* i tried to wear it when with spacers and that clearly didn't work! Geeze how silly of me!

I didn't/don't/hopefully won't, have a bite plate nor molar buildups but I did have clear rubber bumpers on 2 of the front bottom brackets for the first month of getting the metal bottoms put on. They took those off at my first official adjustment saying that my molars were touching each other and there was no need for them anymore. Yay!! I was so relieved to hear that because not only were they a pain in the a. to chew, they also stain REALLY easily. More so than my clear ties on my ceramic brackets. I went out to eat at a noodle soup restaurant one night and afterwards when I looked at my teeth in my compact, they were stained a bright, glowy, neon green + yellow color. :yikes: I felt like I had glow in the dark stickers on my teeth for a while. The thing is that the soup was really light colored so it never once occurred to me that it might stain certain things in my mouth. :gavel: That really put me off from eating out. :?
