Wire has popped out!

#1 Post by sdgal23 »

Hey guys

I was flossing and I happen to notice that the wire had popped out from one of the brackets. the bracket is still attached to the tooth but the wire is not attached to the bracket. It is a friday and the ortho office is closed until Monday, do you guys know if this is going to be a big problem? will this slow down my progress???

I wouldn't worry too much about that. I had a bracket come off one of my canines on a friday and waited till monday to get it fixed. I had no set backs but by monday my central incisor was fairly sore due to the change in stress from the archwire. You should be ok.

Hi

This happened to me, its no big deal. Just give your ortho a call monday and theyll tell you what to do. If in the meantime the wire is poking in at all then i found rolling a ball of wax up and sticking it on the end works wonders.
