I always look in the mirror and I don't really notice too much of a change but people tell me they see it. (I've noticed change but I didn't think it was a lot of change) Well I was just going through some pics and my arch is a LOT different. It makes me feel good because now I REALLY see a change. I can't believe there's been so much change in only 2 months. Please let me know what you all think. Also in the pic with braces I have stitches from a extraction sticking out in front of my front teeth, in case anyone is wondering what that is lol. BTW I've NEVER posted a pic of my teeth online before, i've always been too embarrassed to show anyone. I guess this is what happens when you have a extra front tooth and don't get it extracted before you get your adult teeth.

Oh my goodness!! Your teeth has moved so much in such a short amount of time!! I'm impressed and jealous!!! I too have been in braces for about 2 months but the movement hasn't been too dramatic, especially compared to yours. Boo. You've seriously some amazing progress there Naduah. Keep us updated with pics.
P.S. I'm too chicken to post my pics so more power to you.
Thanks everyone for all the encourgment. So far it has been worth it to get the braces put on. (I've wanted them since I was 11! lol) Most of the movement from that front rotated tooth has just been in the 2 weeks since I got an extra one that was right behind it extracted. For a few days is hurt really bad and was sooo sensitive then the next thing I know it moved a LOT! The weird thing is it's not really sensitive to cold as much as before. sashamax my orthodontist told me 18 to 24 months, I don't have any major bite problems so hopefully only 18 months. LaaLaa have you taken pics of your arch? My front pics aren't as dramatic looking, I can tell theres still a lot that has to be moved. Also I never thought I'd be posting pics of my teeth but I firgured maybe it would help out all those people who are getting ready to get braces.

I actually don't have any pics of my arches because......I forgot to take them!! Grrr. I really don't know why because I got the idea of taking pics from this forum for keeping track of progress. I have the front views of them though, but I do agree, the arch pics are more dramatic when comparing.
Sorry I haven't posted in a WHILE. I figured I would post a progress pic. Sometimes I think "will my teeth ever be straight??" then I just take a look at my progress pics and I feel a teeny bit better. I still can't picture what my teeth will look like when everything is complete. My bite is still a bit open because of the bumpers they put in to keep me from hitting my bottom teeth with my top braces. Now I have to be careful not to hit my top tooth (the one that was almost fully rotated sideways) against my botton teeth. Can anyone see progress from my 7 month pic to my 9 month? I'm not sure but it's really bugging me how my archwire is slanted...i'm going to ask my ortho about it on my next adjustment. [/img]

Thanks for commenting...I guess I'm just getting impatient. The last two times I've been to the ortho they haven't changed my top wire. (I guess that means it's still working?) They do keep changing my bottom so maybe they are trying to do something with my bottom teeth before they change my top wire? I go back in February I can't wait to ask them to see whats going on.
Okay it's been a LONG time since I posted & I apologize for that. I guess I just got so used to wearing my braces I kind of "forgot" about them. Well I figured I would post a new pic I just took today. On my last visit my ortho told me another 4 months of treatment. I just started wearing those elastics. Okay now I know it's a big change but i'm not sure if I am ready to get my braces off. (I dont know if they can fix everything in 4 months) In the pic I put arrows pointing to what I'm not sure if I like or not. The front tooth that was rotated is pushed out a little & my incisor looks kind of off to me. Am I being too picky with my teeth? (sorry about the size of the pic...hope it's not too big)BTW these new elastics are driving me crazy! When I first wake up in the morning I can't even open my mouth! Anyone else feel the same way?
