Just curious if any of you are having trouble finding Dental Wax in the stores. I use to purchase it at Shoppers Drug Mart, but they no longer carry it. I have tried Walmart (no luck), Zellers (no luck) and the local grocery stores (no luck).

Other than buying it from DentaKit (or another website), or getting it from your Ortho, where have you been getting your Dental Wax. I only have 6 months left of treatment (or less, I hope), but one of the prongs that the elastic wraps around is digging into my bottom lip. It is now a blister and it is getting stuck on the prong.... OUCH!

I've been getting my extra wax at Lawton's Drugs. It's the only place I've managed to find it thus far.

I was amazed that Wal-mart appears to carry everything but wax. Go figure, eh?

I remember never having a problem finding any. I'd normally get wax at "Jean Coutu". Montreal to Brampton should take at most 2 days via mail. If you're desparate, I could send some your way. PM me if you like, Lilsisbet.

I usually find mine at Shopper's Drug Mart. Glad to see I'm not the only one having trouble ever finding it! It is strange that Wal-Mart doesn't carry it.

I gave up looking for it (I'm in Alberta). Good to know MrsF that Shoppers has it! I always just ask my ortho at an appointment if he will give me some more considering how difficult it is to find it.

My mission today was to go through the local yellow pages and call the drug stores. I found an independent one that has lots of dental wax. Even better, they were selling it for $2.29. The last time I got one at Shoppers (maybe a year ago) I believe the price was close to $4.00. One Shoppers Drug Mart I tried said that Butler was changing their packaging and they weren't sure when/if they would be getting their new stock.

Bottom line, I went at lunch and bought all that was on the shelf....I am now a happy camper.

Just adding my two cents from Alberta...

I have bought better wax online, but I have found some of the basics at London Drugs. They have a fantastic dental selection here.

Can't the Orthodontist supply you with more?

I've never had the pleasure of searching for wax so really not sure where to get any except online

I've made a point of asking for a pack o' wax at every adjustment, just so that I'll have extra in case I need it. Beats paying for it at the drug store -- heck, it's the least they can do for eight grand!

I know what you mean about how hard it is to find wax at the stores here. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. If I need it I just ask my ortho.

Nice to here you found some somewhere else that is cheaper!
