Metal Taste in Mouth

#1 Post by i!i! »

I've had in my expander for about 2 months. Just a few days ago I noticed a metal taste in my mouth. The taste is only there sometimes. It has been off and on the past few days. The taste is very metallic like a battery. Does anyone know what this is?

I have lot of metal beside braces in my mouth(LOTS crowns and LOTS of fillings) and I haven't had a metallic taste at all.I wonder what effect all the spoons and forks knives have.

I've had my metal braces since July and in the last couple of weeks have noticed that I have a metally taste in my mouth - especially when I brush my teeth - It makes me go 'on edge' (you know when you accidently eat a bit of silver paper off a sweet and it touches a filling!) eeeeew! It's really weird!
