How to distalize a row of teeth in the mandible? Unilaterally

#1 Post by waya »

Hello!
How is a row of teeth distalized in the lower jaw (mandible)? What options are there?
The wisdom tooth is not erupted yet. The other side ist not asymmetrical/has no discrepancy.
See both sides, the current state:

So there is only an unilateral (on one side) distalization needed. Are there also risks with the methods available?

Your bite discrepancy is rather small. Unilateral Class III elastics should handle that easily in a few months
