Question about cleaning

#1 Post by TheMan222 »

Ok, i got 6 month smiles for top and bottom layer on Tuesday.
I read online that i should clan after every meal? Is this true because i do not feel comfortable brushing in the bathroom at work. It would be weird.
Also i'm not sure but i think he dentist chipped a small corner of my front tooth on Monday when shaving them. I had never noticed it before, should i ring them now or wait for the 2 week appointment.
Thank you very much for any help.

Personally I don't brush after every meal, but i do check for any food stuck in my teeth (and clean it with a tiny brush if needed). I usually brush them twice, like
I normally would, except i wash them with infinitely more patience and also floss once a day. So as long as you don't have any food stuck and your breath doesn't smell (which happens way more often with braces :FeelSick: ), i guess it's ok.
And yes, ring your orthodontist cause he's gonna have to make your appointment longer in order to check/fix your tooth.

If you stick with silver ligatures, staining shouldn't be too much of an issue. I had silver ligs and curry just turned it a goldish colour and it went back to normal pretty soon. I have a lighter silver powerchain and curry stains it for about a day or so then goes back to normal.
