#1 Post by kellydarcy84 »

Hi, I'm getting six month smile braces fitted on the 12th may and wondered if anyone has had them and can offer any advice on foods that you can eat ( having bite guards fitted) pain killers if needs and after care advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm based in the uk.

Make sure your six month smile "orthodontist" is an actual orthodontist and not a dentist that took a class. There have been mixed results with six month smiles...

Read through the board; there are several thread on foods. As far as pain killers; ibuprofen worked fine for me.
Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!
